The ultimate HydraFacial experience, begin the detoxification process with Lymphatic Drainage. Follow with the HydraFacial to deeply cleanse, extract and hydrate the skin. Diamond Deluxe Hydrafacial

This invigorating treatment includes deeply cleansing, exfoliating, and extracting impurities from the skin while simultaneously infusing nourishing ingredients to hydrate the skin with hyaluronic acid and peptides. Boost Deluxe Hydrafacial

Customized HydraFacial with an added Boost serum. Experience cleansing, exfoliating, and extracting impurities from the skin. Microdermabrasion "Diamond Peel"

A diamond chipped hand piece gently refines skin rather than traditional loose crystal microderms. The "Microdermabrasion Plus" is an add-on treatment that enhances further exfoliation by applying a gentle peel solution.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a light exfoliation that uses a special instrument to remove the dull top layer of skin as well as fine facial hair. The treatment is customized to your skin type and a light peel or hydrating mask is used. This treatment has no downtime and will reveal a smoother, brighter complexion.

Permanent Makeup

Micropigmentation allows you to always look great even when you don’t have time to apply makeup. It is particularly helpful for those with allergies, busy lifestyles, athletes and people with visual or mobility limitations.

Laser Hair Removal

LightSheer® Duet, Flinch-Free Laser Hair Removal

Now you can eliminate unwanted hair comfortably and in much less time. Our new Light Sheer DUET laser brings the hair follicle closer to the treatment head with new vacuum assist technology.

The benefits are significant and include:

Women are finding this to be the best hair removal solution for the legs, bikini area and underarms. This ingenious solution offers new advantages. Gentle suction slightly stretches the treatment area which allows the laser light to interact more efficiently with the desired target, melanin in the hair follicle. Less energy is lost to pigment in the skin and blood flow in surrounding tissue. Nerve endings are stimulated by the vacuum, "fooling" nerve endings into perceiving less pain. The vacuum pulls the hair follicles closer to the diode surface. This allows for deeper penetration, with a reduced need for laser energy (about 60%.) Ultimately treatments are safer and more comfortable.

With this new technology, many men are now able to consider laser hair removal. Before this, it was simply too long, painful and expensive. Now there’s a quick, comfortable solution to what can be an embarrassing problem.

LightSheer DUET

LightSheer DUET Vacuum Assist Technology

  1. Vacuum pulls skin into the hand piece. This brings hair closer to the laser pulse, gently compresses tissue & surrounding vessels & temporarily displaces blood.
  2. Skin senses pressure instead of laser pulse, which uses less energy. Heat builds up & damages hair follicles & their ability to regrow.
  3. After treatment, client can resume normal activities.

In some cases, the LightSheer Duet isn’t a good fit. For these clients we offer additional laser hair removal choices.

Fractional Laser Treatment

The Next Generation of Skin Resurfacing

Dermatology Associates of West Michigan was one of the first practices in the country to offer the Fraxel Laser when it was launched and continued to break ground with the Lumenis Active, Deep and TotalFX fractional lasers.

Fractional CO2 lasers repair damaged skin without the disadvantages of traditional CO2 lasers. Rather than remove the top layer of skin, like ablative lasers, they create microscopic sites of thermal impact separated by areas of unaffected tissue. The spared tissue between treatment zones contains cells that promote rapid healing. At the same time, each micro thermal zone penetrates deep into the dermis stimulating collagen remodeling and new skin.

Each laser has unique characteristics and advantages, our physicians can recommend the right treatment based on your needs.

Lumenis Active, Deep & TotalFX

The ActiveFX, Deep and TotalFX procedures vary in intensity and are often combined. We use topical numbing cream to minimize discomfort during the treatment, with no anesthesia necessary.

Fractional CO2 lasers are an exceptional choice for skin resurfacing. We offer the Lumenis Active, Deep and Total FX lasers. Treatment is performed onsite at our office.

Afterward the treated skin feels like it has been sunburned. During the healing process skin will start to flake off within 2 days and pinkness will be gone in about a week. Skin is noticeably tightened immediately afterward and most patients say they look 5 - 10 years younger.

Micro-needling with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) option

Micro-needling is a more potent treatment than traditional facials. Prior to micro-needling, a numbing cream is applied to the skin for added comfort. During the procedure, thousands of micro-injuries are precisely delivered with a small, sterile medical instrument. Although minute in size, these injuries initiate the body’s powerful wound healing process. As damaged tissue heals, healthy new cells repair the wounds, creating healthier dermal tissue and remodeled collagen and elastin. Results typically include softening of fines lines, wrinkles and scars, improved pigmentation and glowing, vibrant skin.

+ PRP Option Platelet-rich plasma (PRP), amplifies and accelerates micro-needling results. With PRP, your own potent platelet-rich plasma is used simultaneously. The plasma is taken from a small amount of your blood, which is drawn on-site before treatment. This increasing popular add on is know for stimulating more dramatic results.
