Nathan T. Nartker, MD

Dear Patient,

I am excited to join Dermatology Associates of West Michigan and thank you for trusting me with your skin, hair, and nail needs. Growing up with severe scarring acne myself, and after seeing more than a handful of dermatologists all over the state, I knew early on that I wanted to connect with patients struggling with similar skin conditions to help them put their best foot forward.

I was born and raised in Shepherd, a small village in Central Michigan. I then attended the University of Michigan, where I graduated with distinction with a degree in Neuroscience. From there, I continued my education at Wayne State University School of Medicine followed by an internship year at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia, Michigan, where I was awarded Resident of the Year. I then returned to Wayne State University for my final three years of dermatology residency, during which time I served as Chief Resident and received diverse training in all aspects of dermatology. Since graduation, I have been practicing in Caledonia, MI and am excited to continue to provide exceptional care to patients closer to my home in Grand Rapids.

I understand that dermatological care is not just skin deep. I enjoy seeing patients of all ages and skin types. I am passionate about solving challenging medical dermatology issues and piecing together the complexity of the skin. I take pride in providing compassionate, patient-centered care using the most up-to-date dermatological treatments and partnering with my patients to assist in improving their quality of life. I look forward to listening to all your dermatological needs, helping you understand your skin, finding personalized solutions that fit your lifestyle and desired outcomes, and answering all your questions and concerns.

When I am not treating patients at the office, I can be found exploring West Michigan with my wife, Erin, whom I met in a freshmen level English class at the University of Michigan, and tinkering in my garage with electronics, trucks, tractors, and other engines.

I am honored to be your dermatologist and look forward to seeing you in the clinic.
